Eduardo Padilha is a São Paulo-based artist and scientist exploring the intersection of natural sciences and art. A PharmD by the University of São Paulo and currently pursuing a Masters in Oncology, he has done research at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the University of Sao Paulo and worked as a collaborator researcher at the Structural Genomics Consortium. He has been invited to speak about science democratization, citizen science and the intersections between science, philosophy, design and art in Brazil, Chile, China and the USA. He is an organizer of the Bio Summit Conference and was a Bio Fellow at the MIT Media Lab as a recognition for his work to democratize science and technology in Brazil. Padilha currently acts as a Clinical Scientist, providing scientific advisory for clinical trials testing new drugs in humans across different therapeutic areas. His artistic work has been featured in lectures, essays, exhibitions and workshops internationally and he is currently represented by the Los Angeles-based art organization Fathomers.
